Common Questions

Are events free?
Most of our programs are free and open to the public. Some special events or workshops may have a fee, which is always noted in the event listing.
Do I need to be a member to attend?
Most programs are open to everyone. A few special events are member-only, which will be clearly noted. Not a member yet? Join anytime at doorcountylandtrust.org/join.
What should I bring?
Each event listing includes specific recommendations, but generally: wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, bring water, and leave pets at home unless the event specifies dogs are welcome.
Can I bring my kids?
Many programs are family-friendly and welcome children. Check the event listing for age recommendations. We also offer programs specifically designed for families.
What if the weather is bad?
We go out in most conditions - that is part of the adventure! Events are only cancelled for severe weather or unsafe conditions. Registrants will be notified by email if an event is cancelled.
