Virtual “Thanks-Giving” Celebration to Honor Conservation Success
Sturgeon Bay, WI— Door County Land Trust invites friends, neighbors, and supporters to come together for an evening of gratitude and celebration during “Thanks-Giving: What You’ve Helped Save,” a free virtual event happening Wednesday, November 19, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
This virtual gathering is a chance for the community to share stories and reflect on what has been accomplished together for the lands and waters that make Door County special.
Participants will hear updates from Executive Director Emily Wood, who will share highlights of newly protected natural areas across the peninsula and give a preview into new projects on the horizon. Community Conservation Coordinator Paige Witek will also spotlight the growing impact of volunteer and citizen science projects that are connecting people to nature and informing restoration and land protection efforts.
“Every acre we’ve protected this year is thanks to the people of Door County,” said Wood. “This event is our way of saying thank you—for your generosity, your time, and your shared love of this place.”
