Join us for an enchanting evening hike at Oak Road Nature Preserve as we explore the world of frogs and waterfowl at sunset. Guided by knowledgeable leaders, you’ll walk about one mile through open grasslands to a vernal pond (temporary springtime pond), where the sounds and activity of nature come alive. Along the way, you’ll learn about frog life cycles and calls and the behaviors and ecological roles of waterfowl. You’ll have opportunities to observe frogs, ducks, geese, and other waterbirds settling in for the evening. This relaxed, interactive experience invites curiosity, conversation, and appreciation of the preserve’s natural beauty.
