Explore the wonders of Heins Creek together in this fun, hands-on program designed for families with children of all ages. At this welcoming and engaging adventure, kids and adults alike will wade into the creek to discover and identify fascinating aquatic macroinvertebrates (also known as aquatic insects). Along the way, you’ll learn in simple, age-friendly ways about these tiny creatures’ life cycles, habitats, and important role in keeping our waterways healthy. With plenty of opportunities for curiosity, teamwork, and playful exploration, this program offers a memorable outdoor experience the whole family can enjoy together.
